A little shopping

I did a little shopping today, which is crazy in order if a new person is going to be here in 6-8 weeks or however long/short it is. (I'll know for sure on June 11 if it's going to be sooner rather than later.)

Here are a few of the treats I bought. The dogs do not look pleased at all, and Eliot did not do justice to the Nike outfit. I don't like it that much myself, but I'm trying to think of the comfiest clothes for both of us. Frankly, I'm getting a little freaked out about the flight and praise god in heaven sister is coming. She got her passport today -- YAY.

Stuart looks cute in the little onesie, I think. I bought 4 of those. If they fit, they will definitely be a uniform.

Paperwork

I've complained a little bit about the paperwork involved with this adoption. It really can be overwhelming and silly at times, but for the most part I like paperwork.

I also spy some work paperwork mixed in with this, but that's not suprising. My job is essentially a lot of paperwork, too.

Whoa!!!! Slow it down, buddy.

Stuart has the right idea. Time to rest.

Anna's care package.

Her precious shoes.

Wow. So I think and debate about this for YEARS and finally begin the paperwork in February. Then I rush to get my dossier in to perhaps only make one trip. I learn I do, but I still estimate July or August, while really thinking it will be later before I travel to get Anna.

Nope.

My court date is June 11th. (This is the court date I would have otherwise had to appear in person in Ethiopia under the new law.) If I pass, and often you do not the first time, my embassy date will then be July 15th or 29th. That is when Sister and I will travel to bring the little lovebug home. If I don't pass, my agency still estimates my embassy date will be in August.

The agency asked me today if I'd decorated her room. Uh, no. She has one shirt hanging in the closet. That's it.

But it's a home brimming with love for this little one.

Agency and progress

The agency I'm working with is http://www.celebratechildren.org/. They have a great website and above is the tracking of Anna's adoption.

It looks like Sister and I are flying to Africa in a regional jet. That is silly.

New Clothes

We're putting together a care package to send to Anna and I thought I'd try out the clothes on the boys.

Stuart's the one on the bed and Eliot is in all the others. Poor dogs. Poor Anna.
